Hello~

does anybody experience dizziness (no headache)with fibromyagia?
if so, what kind of dizziness do you feel?

Recently I've been told that I have fibrymyagia variant. and I've been finding out that I've become excremly sensitive to a lot things. (eg, I can't eat spicy food anymore and nerve pain kicks in noisy environment). anyhow, lately I'm experiencing a dizziness with sensation of mild electric shock from toe to head and it feels like I lose sense of balance too. now it's to a point that I'm afraid of driving. My primary dr. said it's a motion sickness but how one can explain this motion sickness when I get to spend whole weekend without driving and still feel dizziness?
addtion to taking elavil, and effexor for fibromyagia, I've been taking other medation such as antiboitics and croticosteroid for rhinitis. I feel that my body feels funny with all these different medication together... well...it's hard to figure out what's going on with my body...

Hi June:

Dizziness can be a symptom of fibromyalgia. When I experienced dizziness, it felt like my head was dingey and things were off balance. I don't know if that helps you or not.

The electric shock is a puzzler. Is it like a twitch, or an actual feeling of shock? It's commong to have twitches and restless legs. I'm sure your doctor will help you get to the bottom of things. If he/she doesn't, move on to someone willing to help. People with fibro often have a difficult time finding the right doctor who understands the condition. My doctor actually has fibromyalgia, so I was able to get the right care, but it took 10 years to find him.
