symptoms getting worst near electromagnetic field ??? - Fibromyalgia Message Board

Hello~

I've been lately having more pains(burning and tingling) on my hands whenever I work on my labtop. When I work on a desk-top, I only feel normal background pain which I'm used to, but just working into 10 minutes or so is enough to trigger the increased sensitivty and pain on my hands on a laptop computer.
I assume that it may has to do with approximity to electromagnetic field which I'm directly exposed while working on keyboard and all the hard drive just beneath it.
has anyone experienced such symptoms?
also I'm trying to adjust my life around my condition and trying to move closer to the work, and this place has eletric transfomer right next to the unit which I want to move in.
I'm afraid if it's good idea or not when I already have found a problem with using a laptop.

I would appreciate any info.

hi june,
there have been many studies done on the effects of living under or near transformers. it is not a good idea to move there. maybe you can find another place?
our sensitivity increases with fibro. to smells, sound and especially to shifts in electromagnetic fields.
the posture required to work on a laptop is not hand friendly. i would limit use and stick to a desktop as much as possible.
oops! shame on me! i forgot to say welcome!! while it is sad to see so many new faces here with fibro it is good that you are here. i have found this group of humans to be kind, compassionate and deeply caring. best of all, we can relate!
