Re: anyone read "fibromyalgia miracle breakthrough
Call me cheap -- I like to look for books at the public library first. Very few are valuable enough to make it into my reference collection.
I have not read Young's book. Diet may be a factor for some w/fibro, but not all. I have led an exemplary junk-free life, have tossed out gluten, dairy, eggs, and other food allergens found on testing, with little improvement in the fibro.
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for eating healthy & have preached that my whole life.
My personal bible for fibro is written by Jacob Teitelbaum, MD, Director of the Annapolis Research Center for Effective FMS/CFS Therapies, and a fibro sufferer himself. From Fatigued to Fantastic is 400+ pages of very thoughtful commentary on a vast array of conventional medical & alternative med interventions for fibro. I have found a lot of hope, and a good deal of help, in reading it. I'm not fantastic yet, but I have made a lot of progress using Dr. Teitelbaum's ideas.
