I went to a Pain Clinic last week for the first time in a few years. It is actually an Anesthesiology Practice that has docs that just work in the Pain Clinic. Because I have Fibro/Myofascial Pain on top of a 20 year old neck whiplash injury resulting in Degenerative Disk Disease, Arthritis, and bone spurs..........they want to do a Lidocaine Infusion (IV) then in a few weeks, the Occipital Nerve Block Injections. Has any one out there had this done? They are different that Trigger Point Injections, as they concentrate on the occipital nerve that goes along the neck. I am at the point where I am willing to give it a try. Just wondered if you had any experiences out there? The Doc told me they don't know why the lidocaine infusions work, but has worked very well for many people and he even had some snowbirds come back to Michigan to have it done in the winter. So any info would be appreciated! Thanks lefty
