| finally a answer
Hi everyone and thank you for listening.For several yrs I have experienced fatigue,odd sensations,pain,muscle spasms,charlie horses,stiffness and tightness every where!
My muscles are like rocks,yet weak.My legs hurt especially my thighs.My neck and lower back,arms...etc....
I was referred to a M.S clinic where I have been seen for 2 years.Yet no firm diagnosis.Several Mri's showed a brain lesion 1cm left frontal lobe.Also 3 herniated cervical disks,2 thoracic,and several lumbar.Nerve compression at L4 and L5.Stenoisis and spondyloisis.
Neuro surgeon spine specialist wanted to do a 3 level cervical fusion.My family DR suggested I needed the surgery after I showed her the myelogram results.I asked the ortho who treated me for months as well as the family DR to refer me to a rheumy.Both declined...saying there was nothing a rheumy could do for me!
My recent visit to the M.S clinic...still no definite.Gave a copy of the myelogram report and the DR referred me to the Emory Spine Center in Atlanta for a 2nd opinion.Today my eyes were truly opened!I went to the spine center.The DR took alot of time asking questions and examined me.
When I layed on my stomach he pressed certain areas and I was in agony!
He was sure I suffer from fibromyalgia.He referred me to a rheumy.He did say that it could be a few more serious conditions that the rheumy would have to rule out.Any one know what that could be???
Seems Fibro has taken its toll on me...and I am glad to finally have a name or more than a probablity of what is wrong with me!
Anyone with similair experiences?Any input and support would be appreciated Jane
