Coughing a symptom?

Hi,

I'm still in the process of being tested for Fibro. During this month or so of everything flaring up really bad, I've been coughing. Mostly dry except in the mornings. Sometimes just little bursts of a cough here and there or full blown coughing fits. It's just varies during the day.

Now, everyone even my M.D. says it's allergies. Well, I've had allergies my entire life and coughing has NEVER been one of my symptoms. Ever! Plus I smoked for 20 years but quit three years ago and I've never had a smoker's cough.

What do you all think?

Thanks!

Re: Coughing a symptom?

Coughing may be a symptom for you, with fibro I don't question anytihng. I would ask for a breathing test if it doesn't clear up soon. I smoked for many years too, quit almost 4 yrs ago, and a yr ago, I was DX'ed with C.O.P.D.

Hang in there.

Sid

Re: Coughing a symptom?

Thanks for your speedy replies. I'll ask Doc to do an Xray or something next week to make sure it's not ex-smoking related. I do get kind of wheezy when I'm speed walking or hiking so maybe I have adult onset asthma or something like that. Yeah, just what I need!
