What is worse....i am ignorant when it comes to medical diseases?

Dr. said I might have MS or fibro. He'll run a variety of tests on me now.

hi aumali,
i have fibro and i have a friend with ms. i would say having fibro is easier. so would she. i hope you don't have either one. fibro is not so bad. it hurts alot but you adapt to it and create a good life incorporating fibro as an aspect of your reality.
you have the best learning tool at your fingertips. read up on them both. knowledge is power. empower yourself. no matter what you have, you have the power to do it.

hey there, i thought i would add my 2cents. i personally wouldn't want to have either but i think at least with MS there is i think that it is not as much of a mystery like Fibro. Fibro affects everyone so different and no one thing might help everyone the same. does that make sense, lol?
i read so much on Fibro and when i read success stories it kind of gets me down because i wish that i could have that. i am only 30 and it is hard to know that i will have this for the rest of my life. thank goodness i have a wonderful support group to keep me going. i agree with BLL because she has such wonderful knowledge and if i ever feel down and feel like i can't take it she has brought me back up. I just love her to peices.

I am adding my 2 cents in here..I have both!! I have had Fibro 16 yrs. and was DX. with RRMS 2 yrs ago, I am on Copaxone shots for the MS and nothing much helps the Fibro and have been in a very painful flair in my ribcage for the past 2 weeks that won't let up and it leaves me pretty much laying down with heat most of the time.I can't take any meds stronger then Tylenol for the FM as I also have Lupus Antianticuagulant a clotting disorder and I have to take a blood thinner so NISAIDS doin't mix well.

I guess I think the FM is worse 16 yrs. and counting and its still a mystery today as it was back then and a lot more painful, but the MS has its bad days too.
