Occassional pain relief - Fibromyalgia Message Board

I just sorta deal with the daily "run over by a truck" pain. I think the glucosamine and mag malate helps a bit. The real bone aching that get to me during weather changes.Like driving a chisel between my big toe or knees..The doc gave me a script for 50 mg ultram...Can this be taken or Is any one taking this occassionally for the worse pain..What are others taking for the occassional 8-10 range pains..God Bless..Kim

What's glucasamine? Why are you taking it? Soon I will start magnesium supplements. I take b12 and get b12 shot every week with magnesium injections. The work for awhile that's why I have to continue.

Hi Kim:

I take ultram every once in awhile. I take half of a 50 mg tablet since I'm very sensitive to drugs. That is the only strong pain killing drug I take.

Hi levent..Glucosamine supports joint health..Hi Kirstee..So you can take it occassinally for the worse pain times and you dont have any side of withdraw effects?. And only 25 mg. gives you temp relief?.Thanks for responding...Blessings..Kim

i have finally found pain relief that at least helps me to function. norco, soma, requip, cymbalta. of course it has taken 6yrs to figure out what combination of meds will help with some of the pain. everyone is different and the same meds might not help everyone.
