DMAE and Fibro ????? - Fibromyalgia Message Board

I read somewhere that DMAE helps for fibro symptoms, but have lost the article. I bought the caplets for my Mom, but she has not taken them because she is now unsure. Has anyone heard of this or used DMAE for fibro?
Any info you have regarding this would be greatly aprreciated.

Haven't heard of DMAE for fibro. I'm up on lotta supplements often rec. for fibro, that one hasn't come up.

DMAE is often recommended for ADHD, for infirmities of aging -- senile mind, wrinkled skin. It affects acetylcholine metabolism in the brain & elsewhere in the body.

Although reported side effects are rare, we did have a bad side effect trying DMAE on our ADHD son, at a very low dose. So, this is one that I usually recommend that people try very slowly at first, to make sure that it's not a problem for them.
