Well I had a spinal tap Thursday. It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I will not find any thing out for 3 weeks. My appointment is March 8th. The only thing I do know is that when I asked the doctor what my opening pressure was he said it was high, 300. He went on to another patient and a nurse stayed with me waiting for my fluid to collect. Another nurse came in and asked what my opening pressure was and she whispered it was over 300. Like I could not hear. The doctor came back it and said that they need to get a closing pressure on me. He said that the closing pressure was 192. Question is what could all of this mean. I did ask him if this could account for the pulsating tinnitus, head pressure, etc.. and he said yes. I guess maybe they are finally finding out something. It has been a year since this all started. All my other tests have pretty much been negative. MRI of brain, c-spine, t-spine, chest, MRA of brain, Cat scan of abdomen, sinues, neck and tons of blood, urine etc..... Anybody out there have an elevated opening pressure. How high is it. What could cause it. Is this a symptoms of Fibromyalgia. They are still trying to find out what is wrong with me. I am worried. Please let me know what you think.
