Blue.....Braveman & Miracleman finally got to visit!

Hi blue how was the mountain? I hope you are feeling better these days, I think of you all the time and wonder if the healing is happening for you. I wanted to let you know about the first visit of braveman and miracleman. Braveman finally got all his little leftover things under control so we set up a day and headed for the nursing home. The brothers have not seen each other since Sept.1st 2006, and all we could or would tell miracleman was braveman was not feeling well and the docs would not let him get out during the winter months. Miracleman may have cerebral palsey but he is not dumb, I know he knew something was going on.

Anyway we went last Tues., our daughter went with us and we had braveman wait in the 'living room' in front of the nursing home. We thought it best he didn't walk through the more populated areas. We told miracleman we had a surprise for him and took him to the livingroom. Boy did his face light up and he had a smile from ear to ear. He is going to be 68 in July and I think this was a great early birthday present for him. Braveman looks a little thin but he has all his hair back and is able to fix it like he always has and that makes him look better. They gave each other a big hug, I am amazed at the strength of both of them. To endure the illness they have both faced and to recover and look as good as they do, it is a testament to the strength of their parents and genetics. They come from very hardy stock that has always endured and worked hard to keep going.

Just thought you would want to know what a wonderful visit it was. Miracleman doesn't have speech skills (that is part of his CP) but you didn't need words to see the joy and relief he felt to see his baby brother was really OK.

Re: Blue.....Braveman & Miracleman finally got to visit!

make me cry. words are not needed where matters of the heart are concerned. love is a language all it's own. special and unique like the brothers themselves.
surprises are the best aren't they?
healing is going on. i can drive my car without wincing. i can lift bits and most of the pain when i urinate is gone. not all. mornings are the hardest.
fibro is behaving. the weather is warming up and that always helps.
my gardens are in, thanks to brother. tomatoes, cantaloupe and zuchinni, food for winter. of course i am setting myself up for alot of canning and cooking come harvest. giggle. all my herbs are here and growing so marinara sauce fresh from the garden. well in a few months, tee hee.
thanks again for sharing with me. my heart is full. brothers do know and you are right, miracleman is not stupid. he is very in tune.
love you,
blue

Re: Blue.....Braveman & Miracleman finally got to visit!

So glad to hear you are doing the healing thing and that fibro is letting it happen without the added extra. I can only imagine what that first morning pee is like after the bladder fills all night....ouch! What is nice to know is this too will heal and be gone.

So glad your gardens are in, we have most of our flowers hanging and growing and that has been such a great relief. We didn't get to do anything last year, and I'm not sure about the year before, can't remember that far back. The neighbors are all slowing down to look at our hanging baskets on our pergola, we have 10 of them, reds, pinks and fuschia. We hope to get our potted ones done this week. Our pergola is 10 X 20 feet and sits atop our 20 X 30 deck, we have spots for 10 hanging baskets and we fill them all. When I get to the pots, I plan on putting a couple tomato plants in a pot and see what I can do with them. Just a few babysteps at a time.

Take a rest and keep that heeling going, let mother nature sooth your pain and help you heal. Say hello to the mountain for me, I will visit her soon.

love ya!

Re: Blue.....Braveman & Miracleman finally got to visit!

Dancing to live music, oh my that takes me back. I use to dance my fanny off in college to a live music band on Sat. night. Oh how I love to dance! Before I graduated high school I use to date a college freshman (my brothers roommate) and he loved to dance and was really good at it. Actually I dated a great dancer in college too, I guess I gravitated to the ones who like to dance. I married a non-dancer though, love came into play!

I accept your invitation, I will be there on the mountain to watch the stars and see the beautiful night sky. I will breathe in the mountain scented night air and drift a way on a beautiful soft cloud.
