Wink Hi all, new to group

Hi,
My name is Shar and I am 55. It seems that the suffering of side affects of Fibro has gotten worse with age! Has anyone else experienced this? I've come to the point where everyday is a big struggle just to take a shower and get dressed. Along with the Fibro, I have been going through severe depression due to the "Catch 22" situation of the pain and suffering both physically and mentally of the Fibro which in turn, increases the depression! I'm really glad to have found a place to possibly, FINALLY get some support and answers. My partner has been great and has suffererd the full affect of a partner that has this horrible condition. I look forward to making many new friends here and hope to be of some support to you too!
Thanks for having me!

Re: Hi all, new to group

Hi Shar:

FMS can be a progressive syndrome, with symtpoms becoming worse with age. Take heart! There are things you can do to make your life better. One of these things is having the best possible doctor. Have you read any of the excellent books on the market for FMS sufferers, such as Teitlebaum's "From Fatigued to Fantastic" or St. Amand's "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia." You might find some good info that will help you in these two books.

Blessings,
Kirstee
