The blessing of having to deal with fibro!

I have always suffered from depression, anxiety and minor aches, but after the birth of my son it became quite severe. Was on antidepressants before, during(safer one) and now on Venlor XR 150 mg. Works great and helps with the fatigue. My rhumatologist recently prescribed me dihydrocodeine for the pain. Now he wants me to change my Venlor to Cymbalta and take 50 mg of Amitryptiline at night. Still on my Venlor and on my third night on 30 mg Ami. This combination of Cymbalta and Amitryp. is said to be the best to mask the symptoms. Today I decide to quite the Amitryptiline and stay on my Venlor and take painkillers as needed. I do not want to mask my symptoms, because I realised that my quality of life is better. I enjoy the days extra when I don't feel so stiff in the mornings. Changed my diet and do not drink alcohol and take each day as it comes. I do not take anything for granted anymore. You can either feel sorry for yourself or see it as a blessing!

Re: The blessing of having to deal with fibro!

Good for you zelda! You are so right, life is a blessing and having fibro is a blessing also. I always think I could have something worse and yes I have bad days but that just makes me appreciate the good days even more.
