Question Weird things happening with skin

Has anyone noticed their skin aging more rapidly since fibro or is it just mine. The skin on my legs and arms especially looks like a reptiles and I'm getting warts or something raised all over. I know I have aged 10 yrs. in the past two years. I know this may sound petty considering the major problems most have but it doesn't help my self esteem.

Re: Weird things happening with skin

I am sorry you are having these issues as I have not noticed this with me or maybe I just choose to ignore it. As far as the warts or raised bumps, I would check with the doc on this.

I am sure someone else will come along on this post and be more helpful however, please continue posting.

Best Wishes and God Bless

Marlee:

Have you seen a dermatologist? FMS causes a lot of symptom-wide problems, but not all symptoms are FMS related. The wart-like bumps you have might be the result of a virus.

Blessings,
Kirstee

Re: Weird things happening with skin

Hey Wannabe Sorry to read about your skin problems,Kirstee and Jenn4508 are right doc check first, if no answers, try seaweed bath 1-2 per month its a weird sensation first off but it does leave skin and hair wonderfully soft, no soap or shampoo in the bath just the seaweed. Very relaxing too In between use E45 daily(thats what its called in uk) rubbed into skin and Aqua cream(again called in uk, pharmisist may know us equivilant) that can be used to wash with instead of soap and in the bath, the scaliness does sound like skin dehydration and lack of Vit D that the body manufactures itself but needs sunlight to activate it in the skin, have you not been outdoors for some time? just a thought as my daughter had that type of skin problem when her cast was taken off after her fractured fibula had healed. Does the skin itch, if so use a towel rubbing the skin gently to avoid injury to it. Not sure about bumps, could be reaction to something new in your enviroment, again doc check just to be safe. One more thing Wannabe, anything that causes distress to you and can set off the fibro is not petty, keep posting take care, keep well Snoozyowl
