Don't know if this is the answer for you, but has helped, for me, what appeared to be the same thing.
Check the position your arms and legs are in when you awaken. I, too, am a side sleeper. The arm that I'm actually lying on is the 1st to tingle, then that hip, and so on down the leg. With this, rolling to a new position does it until next time.
Often, though, the 'up' side limbs fall asleep, too. I usually discover that my arm is bent, stretched out in front of me, or above my head. Aligning to my side helps. with the leg, again it is usually bent too tightly at the knee (love that fetal position - but it is killer!), or foot pushing the footboard, or otherwise creating muscle pressure or tension. a pillow between the knees often helps.
