Worried...does damp and humid weather make your symptoms worse? - Fibromyalgia Message Board

Hi, yesterday I've felt worse than I have for a while and the only thing I can think of is that it was a very damp, cold and humid day. My muscles ached and I just felt fluish and yucky. Now I'm scared some of my symptoms are coming back but I'm hoping maybe it was just the weather...does anyone else feel worse on days like that? Is there anything you can do to feel better? Thanks.

I find the winter the worst. I never want to do a thing. My body doesn't want to move and I have great pain.

That's what is strange...my symptoms haven't been made worse by winter in general...but when that damp, drizzly day hit they seemed to be!?

I always feel worse when it rains especially if its a cold rain. The barimetric pressure changing can make the pain much worse for people w/FM.

Confetti: as a Fibro freak, I never used to have trouble with the weather. Until this year: when it suddenly grew colder, my muscles were on fire, I just couldn't get warm! The other day, suddenly my muscles began to ache strongly, I looked outside and sure enuf,it was raining! This winter I have been using a heating pad, wear thicker clothes, and use a warm bath. People may look at you strangely if you mention all this, but believe me, weather matters, Al
