Question Tests

This was asked by Friend on a post on this board so I will ask it. How many of us with FMS have another disease to? Like a thyroid disorder and if you have anything else along with the fms. How many have been dxed with cfs, fms, or what ever else you may have. Please share this is a good idea what do we have in common. Like the symtoms list.

I have been dxed with cfs, fms,IB, sleep problems and blatter. This is hard to remember I'll add if I remember more.

Dale, I think that tests is the wrong title.
I believe this is a good idea.

My DX's:

1) Fms

2) CFS

3) Sleep apnea

4) Back problems

5) IBS

6) Depression

That's all I can think of now.

My DX's from tests & x-rays:
1) Fms Yes

2) CFS

3) Sleep apnea Yes

4) Back problems Yes

5) IBS

6) Depression Yes

7) Lyme

8) Anxiety Yes

9) Hepatitis C Yes

10) Degenerative Yes
Joint Disease

11) Thyroid
Imbalance

12) Lupus

13) Bipolar Yes

I was treated for all, while I became more and more ill.
Thyroid was left blank, because it was not diagnosed by the medical profession until I insisted on a trial of the hormone and began recovering. It is now accepted by a medical endocrinologist as a vaild diagnosis in my case.

Friend - I have to tell you that you really got whopped with FMS,Lupus and HepC along with thyroid?? I'm surprised that you're able to make it out of bed!!!

I have been diagnosed with: FM,degenerative disk disease,TMJ,stress related headaches, chronic yeast problems and depression (go figure). I don't need a doc to tell me that I have one or more sleep disorders but that's not a formal diagnosis.

BTW - HepC is another of the "hidden" illnesses and the symptoms do mimic FM (fatigue, achiness, general feeling of flu like symptoms) so that is another test I'd recommend having. There are still docs out there who will test you positive for HCV, with elevated liver enzymes, and tell you to go home, there's nothing you can do. Which is a load of horse doody, HCV is not something to sit on, you should at the very least have follow up tests every 6 months. There are medications you can take to clear the HCV and it is possible to cure or have a long term remission.

Wink

cioc1212,

No on Lupus, thank goodness. I was just listing possibilities and put 'yes' on the diagnosis I have had. Not all diagnosis has been found true.
