Hi Donna,
I'm sorry you are having the problems at your work. I wish people who didn't have this disease could understand and be sympathetic. If we told people we had cancer or something else life threatening, there would be alot of sympathy. I don't truly wish I had something like that and I don't want pity, but I'd at least appreciate some understanding and not be ridiculed. I, like all of you, did not choose to have Fibromyalgia. Shoot, I'd give away all my material possessions just to get rid of it and be back to the way I once was! It figures I would be diagnosed with an illness that alot of people laugh at and think we are making up the symptoms!
I'm lucky that I don't have to work; I don't know how people do it. With feeling horrible, making so many mistakes, taking time off when my kids are sick AND when I am sick...I wouldn't be a good employee for any company. I'm better off (and so is everyone else) staying home. Have you ever shown your boss (or his boss) some of the letters floating around about being compassionate to people with Fibromyalgia? Maybe you could check into that.
I hope your week goes better tomorrow. Good luck. At least we understand and support you, if that's any consolation! Take care.
