Angry Hand..freezing up ?

Hello everyone,

Here I am again with yet another question !!!

After the bloodwork came back last week, the doctor seems to think that since the lupus test was negative, that I have Fibromyalgia..he said no inflamation, so I would assume that means no rheumatoid athritis..right ?

Well, this foolish left hand of mine is acting up again on me today !!
There has been alot of pain , mostly on one finger, but just now, someone came up to my desk to ask me something, and my hand completely froze up on me and
was not only painful, but scary because I couldn't straighten the darn thing out !!!..I started laughing because I was totally embarassed !!

Is this part of the fibro, or what the heck if not some type of athritis..geesh, I'm a mess !!!!

Nana,

My Mom was checked for Lupus to and it was negative. She was told she has Raunods syndrom. She was told not to get her hands cold and to wear gloves when handeling anything cold and even just going into the fridge. She was also told that if swelling starts or discolouration to call right away. She says she feels silly wearing gloves all year but, it does help a lot. Also she uses the hot wax bath for her hands and feet and it helps the blood flow and the cold. Hope this helps. :

Okay, I read your post as Frozen as in cold. Sorry, Yes my fingures get stuck sometimes. I just grab it and bend it with the other hand.

Hi,
Since I have been following this message board I have found reason after reason for little things that happen to me and that I didn't think was part of FM. I have started having pain shoot through just one of my fingers also. But if I had not read through this web site I would have just blown it off. Just like when my attacks would be very severe my eyes would water. I had know idea as to why, but come to find out it too is all part of this FM. Which by the way, I am sure a creative person could take those initials and give this a real good name.
