Sweet Pea

My pain started out with tendonitis in my hand. It just started crawling up my arm, into my shoulder. The rest is history. The tendonitis started in April 99. Wore cast to "rest my wrist" when it went into my wrist and arm. I made them take it off because I was getting needles in the palm of my hand. Had shot for "bursitis" in my shoulder when my shoulder started freezing. From there we went to trigger point injections, chiropractic adjustments, massage therapy, tens, hot packs. By the end of August, my neck was freezing up and I couldn't move it from side to side in addition to the frozen shoulder and arm pain. Had 400 units of botox injected along the way as well. Also had 2 mris and an EMG. The evolution of this stuff was amazing. By the end of May 2000, 13 months after my accident, I was applying for disability. So there you have it, my fibro, mps history. After I got diagnosis, I hit the library. I found out that most people start dr shopping. I found out the causes of my pain. I found out that I'd had all possible treatments for my condition. I guess I became resigned to my condition and tried to get used to it. After I moved here, I tried a new pain clinic to see if anything new was being done after the past two years. We're still scheduled for the nerve conduction next week. We've tried a few new meds. For now am staying with Ambian, Zanaflex, Nexium and GRIT. Lots of GRIT!!!!! I can't be doped out cause I have kids I need to deal with. They freaked out when I took a morphine type pill. They are scared enough as it is about the pain let alone freaking them out with some of the meds. So, now I've written two major posts. My neck is freezing up and pain is intensifying. To think I used to be a secretary that spent hours on a computer. So hang in there. Do your research. You may need to come to a point where you accept but don't give in.
