is this also because of fibro? - Fibromyalgia Message Board

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well. I just wanted to know if the memory loss, facial numbness, tingling in my hands and feet are also due to fibro? I get back pain and tingling in my left foot most of the time but sometimes my right foot, my Dr. tells me it's just muscle spasms. Do any of you get this and is it because of fibro? I am just so frustrated because things that used to be so easy I have to really think about it. I have also been getting chest pain like someone is sitting on my chest, and leg
pain kind of like really bad growing pains but there not growing pains because I am 28. These last two
things just started in the last month, I can't stand
to have anything else go wrong. I thank you all for
listening and know you all have your own problems but
any info I would really appriciate.

Dr. has not run any tests to see if it was just muscle spasms, the only thing he has run tests on is to find out if I have arthritis which came back negative. I keep telling him that I would like to see a specialist but he acts like he didn't hear me. I am tempted to call one and make myself an appt.

yes..go for it!! Does your health insurance allow to you to see any specialist you want, or do you need referals?

Stop wasting time and energy with a doctor who doesn't listen.

Find a quality rheumatologist. If you need a referral, consider changing family doctors (within your insurance system) until you find one who will give you a referral to a good rheumatologist.

Fibromyalgia is a tough condition, but there are ways to feel better. Unfortunately, without the guidance of a good doctor (rheumatologist or other), it will be difficult for you to get the care and tips that you need to feel better.

Ask your loved ones to help you make your point with the doctor; insist on a referral; stand at the receptionist's desk and cry; find a way to get the help you need. Good luck!!

thanks for the advice, it seems like there is no one around to listen these days, well except here. And I thank you all for the kind words and the help.

Yes you will suffer memory loss and sometimes things will over welm you. Things that you could figure out before will totally screw you up. This part of FMS really bothers me because I loved puzzeling things and now I just can't do it anymore.
