hi
i was wondering if anyone out there has won disability with fibro. i am in constant pain and have most of the pressure points. i cant sleep for the pain and can barley walk some days, neck hurts so bad, and cant do alot of what i use to do.. ALWAYS in pain. i also have arrythmias, diabetes, hiatal hernia, arthritis, panic disorder, depression, ptsd, so pain is always felt. i have mobic and neurotion for the fibro. thank you .

Yes, I was awarded SSD 4 months after I applied. The primary reason for award was fibro. A couple years ago Social Security recognized Fibro as a potiental disability. I guess it is based on severity. I have all 18 tender points, and am in constant pain even with painkillers

thank you for your replys. Becky did a doctor document all your pressure points? mine has not. i was just told i have this after suffering for years, i applied for ssd before i knew that i had it , had so much pain all the time and didnt know what it was. and i dont know what all documents i need. its been 3 yrs and i have to go to the judge now. how do they judge severity? thank you for the help.

Hi I am the guy that Kirsten is refering to. I was awarded my disability due to spinal injusries way before I was diagnosed with fibro, but I already had fibro. Since we cannot post links here look on yahoo, for soc sec disabilty and fibro, you will find a few docs on this subject. Soc sec does recognize this a sa disabilty!
