Yes it is a neuro drug. This Dr first had me on Neurontin, which is also a neuro drug. It seemed to help some, and I really slept good at first. Then he raised the dosage and I couldn't tell it was doing much for me, and I felt really foggy. I couldn't remember things, or words. It wasn't a good thing if you know what I mean.
Then he switched me to this Gabitril. It's a newer drug. It's a smaller pill, not a big capsule, and I take it once a day. I'm going to try taking it tonight before I go to bed. One of the side effects of this drug is fatigue. So, maybe that will be a good thing. The calves of my legs seem to be improving. That's Wonderful!!
It's been so long since I could walk without pain. My mind is always full of things that I want to do, but I've not been able to do much for some time now. It's very frustrating a lot of the time. I know you all understand what I'm talking about.
You understand all too well, right??!!! This Dr. says it's the nerves around the muscles that causes the pain, so that's the reason for the neuro drugs. As long as it works and doesn't speed up my demise, I'm for it!!
