I don't know about the shots, since they are for inflamation and fibro supposedly does not cause inflamation. However I've been taking Feldene for many years, which is an anti-inflamatory drug, and if I forget to take it my morning stiffness and overall achiness is very much increased. I had a friend who had a cortisone shot in her shoulder for fibro pain, and I think she said it helped for a while, but it caused a sunken in spot at the site of the shot that never went away. If the shots are cortisone, the results are temporary, and there is a limit to how often you can have them. Trouble is, doctors are shooting in the dark with any treatment because no one knows what causes FMS or can even agree on its symptoms.
