PLEASE ADVISE! just had test for Fibro can they show up false pos results? - Fibromyalgia Message Board

Hello, I was tested for Lupas, Fibro, and arthritis I know I do have arthritis in my back it has been diagnosed three years ago can a Fibro test show false negative results like Lupas tests can. I get my test results back tomorrow except for my ANA levels.
Any advise or anyone know?

There is no test that I know of for fibro. It's based on symptoms.

What type of care provider tested you for Fibro?
The "test" is clinical history and your symptoms and some tender areas. It doesn't have a blood test at this point. Let us know what the dr. said about Fibro or what is found. Good Luck Soleil

Thanks for your reply, I had a Family Practice Practioner, I could not get into the MD there yesterday but I had a CBC test and ANA levels tested everything is ruled out so now due to no health insurance and small payments they are the only one that will see me without paying all up front but she said if all came back neg and which it did that it was up to me and she can send me to a rheumatologist but it is costly and she did state she was not familiar with the pressure points but I did meet all the oral criteria. I have heard that RH factors show negative if you have Fibro, so I am going to call to see the MD there at the family practice and I am sure he would have to be familiar with these pressure points. After all that is all thats left to test for to diagnose but they did put me on Celebrex and what is so silly a x ray at a different office showed arthritis in my lower back three years ago and I still suffer those pains.
