I can not help but marvel at the vast array of aches and pains those with Fibromyalgia experience. I had a first visit with a Physical Therapist this week and he said something although humorous, it hit home when he described migrating pains seen with Fibromyalgia patients. I was there on referral as I have had neck, right shoulder, elbow and arm pain for several weeks. My pain medicine doctor is to do an MRI next week to rule out another cervical rupture.

In a matter of a few minutes on leaving the PT office, I experienced severe knee pain that I know is totally unrelated but it was so severe I thought I would surely have to call someone to come retrieve me from Walmart as I stopped to go in for one specific item. If I had not had the foresight to grab a buggy I am sure I would have ended up in the floor. It passed after a few minutes but I thought I would pass out as it was so sudden and severe and as has been my experience in the past, I know how unpredictable our aches and pains can be.

I have had other occasions where I would experience totally unwarranted pain that could last for a brief few minutes or hours on end. I am at my wits end here as I never know from one moment to the next how I feel. It makes you feel so helpless and unable to make any plans. Now I am already feeling the throb down the right side of my neck, shoulder and elbow just typing this short note. I am about ready to throw in the towel to all the doctor's opinions and the constant barrage of new meds, therapies. I see no difference in following any of the well-meaning treatment suggestions other than I am a lot poorer.

I just want to feel normal. Does anyone else feel this way? I find it hard to believe myself at times as I can feel okay one minute and the next I am in agony. This makes absolutely no sense. How can it be?
