just wondering - Fibromyalgia Message Board

hi Im 25 years old ,I have had problems with my neck back and hands for 3 years.It feels like someone is holding a match on some spots on my bones.nobody seems to believe me or figure out what is wrong with me.I seen something on tv about fibromyalgia and that is what I think I have ..Can someone tell me with what I have described if that might be it and if I should tell my dr.
plus I dont sleep any more than 3 to 4 hours a night and I have 3 small children who I love dearly but I am so tired all day I can hardly enjoy there compony.
any help on this would be greatly appreciated

hi courney....i have had fibro for what feel like forever, and i am 58. what the docs usually do is rule out other things first. making an appt. with a rheumatologist would be your first step.
hope you get some relief, that burning pain is the pitts!....bevann

Ciurtney, I have had finromyalgia for 13 years, the burning is part of it, my burning is in my feet, I used to get up in the night and run cold water on them. After a very lengthy time, I went to a pain management doctor who prescribed, cymbalta and Lyrica and flexeril, which I take at night, I also take one lyrica in the morning and I feel no side affects from it. I think you can suggest to your doctor that you might have fibromyalgia.
