Is this fibro too? - Fibromyalgia Message Board

I've had MS for years, probably fibro too, but just diagnosed with Fibro about 6 months ago..I am having SEVERE pain..I mean SEVERE..I don't know if I pulled my back out, even though I don't remember doing so..but I am so stiff and in so much pain I have been in bed for a week..I also get jabbing pains in several areas of my body...arms, fingers, hands, feet..just everywhere..I even have pelvic pain..I don't have periods anymore, so it's not that..I was wondering what this is, if it is fibro...I don't really have a dr. for it yet, but have a few vicodins I've been taking...I'm in too much pain to go to the dr...if this is fibro, has anyone had it act like this and how long did it last?

I am so sorry that you feel this badly, but yes very well could be fibro... as for the bad news it could last for a day or for months no one knows for sure. I was diagnosed 12 years ago but I still don't know how to spell.... It is no fun at all. what really works for me is massages but who can afford them??? next to that is heat... hot baths work out very well for me I use epson salts in the water 1/2 cup woirks out well for me. My husbond says that some of the time I like my tub more than him. I walk around the house saying my back hurts, my leg hurts to the point now that my family members don't even hear me anymore and they usally say rude things to me... I am the to point of leaving them all and moveing out all on my own.... Enough about me ...I do wish you luck and lots of love throughout all the flare ups you may have...

Thanks for the reply...I am starting to panic because I lay in bed an think of everything I have to do and then I start, "oh no, Easter is coming" and all the things to prepare for the holiday and I just can't relax and let it go...I'm afraid of it never going away..I want to be able to sit without pain at least..
