I am new here- - Fibromyalgia Message Board

Hello,
I am not sure if I have fibro. or not, but I have felt like a train wreck the past year. Had several tests, nothing shows. I feel horribly exhausted all the time, aches and pains, neck is so sore i cannot even turn my head, legs are exhausted and tired all the time, I get charlie horses sometimes that hurt so bad, lots of other crazy symptoms, mostly just always feel like I am not well. Can someone give me some insight on my symptoms. The worst is my legs always feel tired. Does anyone else have this symptom with their FIBRO? Thanks!!!

I am a newbie too and I also don't know for sure if I have Fibro yet. Due to lack of insurance and funds, I won't know anything until at least Oct 1st as that is when I am scheduled to see a neurologist at the "cheap" hospital. But my legs (and arms) also feel tired all the time after very little exertion. You might ask you doctor to check for Fibro.

hi girls, and welcome to the board. you will find all friendly and helpful people on here. first off you really need to get diagnosed to be helped. the best doctor to get a dx from is a rheumatologist. he will send you to any other kind of doctor you may need to help dx you. there will be alot of doctor visits and alot of testing before any dx.

I get those symptoms and more but they are just that, symptoms. bevann26 is right, you really have to get all the test done until they find the cause or, in the case of fibro, run out of test. Many illnesses share symptoms so don't assume anything.

In the meantime, hang in there and hang around here. We will be glad to hear you out. Even if you end up not having fibro an answer always comes after asking questions. NOBODY knows that better than us.

I have Fibro and one of my friends has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

I'm pretty sure that the rule of thumb is that if the fatigue is more bothersome than pain, then you might be suffering from Chronic Fatigue. The two are very similar. You definitely should see a rheumatologist and get blood work done to rule out other things first. The Mayo Clinic website is a good place to find lots of information on fms and cfs too. Do your own research. It's better to be an informed patient...everyone on this board has learned that lesson at one time or another I'm sure. Good luck and welcome!
