Crunching sound in neck.... - Fibromyalgia Message Board

Just wondering if anyone else has this? I do have a herniated cervical disk - since that was found, I have a crunching in my neck quite often when I move it side to side.

May, rest assured you are not alone.i have crunching when i turn from side to side and like a crackling noise.i have bulging disc in c6 c7 pushing on my spinal cord.took drs over 10 years to find.you would not beleave some of the crazy dx they gave me,always telling me to go to the gym.now i will never go to the gym.LOL. marywoo

Can't contribute it to anything but I've had that for years. Makes me crazy when the fibro in my neck has me trying to relieve it by rubbing and moving it only to hear the cracking. It unnerves me but what can I do.

Hi May, yes, my sister and i both have the crunching neck noise. We both have had it for a long time. I don't know if it's related to fm or not. Sis gets bad neck pain that radiates into her head. She is 15 yrs younger than me and has not been dx with anything but i think she either has fm or cfs.

I get a sore neck once in awhile but not really that bad and i've had the noisy neck for many years.

I have the crunching all the time. When I have a flare my neck is the first place that I have the severe pain
