I have returned and complaining

Hi everyone,

I am finally back, been here reading a few times but too busy with Drs. tests etc to do much more.

I was housecleaning and I think i threw myself in one heck of a costo flair. My entire upper chest is so sore, comes and goes through out the day with sharp pains that are short lived. Even taking a shower this AM made the sore spots act up. When I move my arms too far I could scream. Anyone else get this bad. The pain seems to be worse from the shoulder toward the underarms. This is the first costo flair I have had in awhile and have not missed it at all.

I had my pap, the Dr. found a breast lump had a ultra sound and that was fine, the lump the Dr. could not find after the us, I think it was a fm lump. Than I had my three year colon done and had a egd at the same time, three polyp's removed, a tiny spot of inflamation in my stomach. Next a bone density, echo, carotid study. nothing major there. Also been to the dentist and had a hearing test done, so every opening in my body has been checked. i can hear you laughing Blue.

Cliff had a false positive stress test and was cathed for no reason. He was just in the hopital for a week due to salmonela The infection went into his kidneys, he is doing well. Yes he did eat tomatoes.

Now that I have written a book I will quit, plus the typing is aggrevating my chest.

Hope you are all doing well.

Hugs, Linda

linda, i am sorry you're dealing with costo ontop of all else. glad that your tests came back fine but you've sure been through the wringer.

if you don't mind i was curious about you dh's salmonnela . been dealing with major gastro problems myself, mentioned salmonela to doc. had stool cultures done friday, haven't heard yet.

i'm in southwest pa, not sure where yu are. but what were your hubbys symptoms and how long did he have them. i really think mine is a type of colitis, but you never know. i too ate tomatoes.

Re: I have returned and complaining

Hi Star,

He started with abdonimal cramping, than some diarrehia and small amounts of vomiting. It started on a Tues, the day he ate tomatoes. By Fri. he was complaining he was cold and about 1 am on Sat. he woke me and was shaking from head to toe, took him to the Er, his temp was 104, they admitted him into ICU, ICU was precautionary dues to having had heart attacks.

His infectious disease Dr. checked him for every disease there is from HIV to Lymes. Finally the ecoli test came back positive for salmonela. He said he never had a stool sample but I imagaine they can find it in your blood also, his infection was in the blood stream.

We live in N.E. Pa. I hope this is not what you have, but have read that usually in a week you can get over this dd without any intervention, but you should take nothing for the d. that is cleaning your body out.

Hugs, Linda

Re: I have returned and complaining

Thanks Linda, well, i haven't had a fever, just very bad diarheaa , vomited a little. i've had it for amonth or so , so probably not salmonella.

I'm glad your dh is doing better. Sounds like he was really sick. ithink i have colitis from taking cipro a while back, and i also have ibs, maybe it's just a bad flare. it sure is miserable though.. if it is a flare, i've never had one this bad before. well, we shall see i guess.

i've got a weekend trip coming up to take grandsons to erie in a couple weeks. i'm praying for good health, as we all are. i sure don't want to be a partypooper on the trip.

wishing you a painfree day and don't work too hard.

stars

Re: I have returned and complaining

I use to get severe Costocondritis also. My Doctor gave me Relefan and it worked great to get rid of it. I take it at the slightest onset.
