Sorry guys. I know I should probably put this on the chronic fatigue board but people don't seem to answer over there.

I am having such a hard time right now. I have been in a "flare" for about 3-4 weeks now. Its not the pain that is killing me, I can handle the pain. It is the monumental fatigue that is killing me. There are no "modalities" for the fatigue.

I am 33 years old and I am completely disabled by this d**n disease! I try to stay positive. I try to stay away from "the dark place", however I am really struggling today. I have been on my couch for weeks. The last day I was out of the house was the 6th of June. I am so extremely exhausted I can barely move.

I feel so guilty right now because my 2 yr old and 8 yr old want to play so bad. They want to go to the pool and have fun like their friends, they want to go outside on the swingset, or even to the movies but their mommy is too sick. They can't even have friends over to play. How are they supposed to understand? What kind of life is this for them? They are stuck here in the house just like I am.

I was the same way. I started taking Provigil and it works real well to combat fatigue. I'd fall asleep in the middle of the day. Sometimes the fatigue would just come over me for no reason to the point where I could barely move.

I was on provigil a couple years ago. It eventually stopped working. I have been on 60mg of Adderall for 1.5 yrs but it doesn't work for my fatigue either. Thanks though.

Boy, do I ever understand the FATIGUE. You really are in a hard place right now. It would be nice if a friend or family member would take the kids on an outing for the day. Other than that, you need to just work your way through it. Like my mother always said........ "This to will pass" You are in a long flare, but know that it will end. As for now, I'd call a friend and see if they could not help you with the kids. Sorry that I can not be of more help.

Try eating sugar-free, caffeine-free, low carb, lots of veggies and fruits (no bananas). The sugar may be consuming energy if hypoglycemia (commong FMS malady) is at work in your body.
