i have followed all the advice given in "from fatigued to fantastic," by dr. jacob teitelbaum, for about 2 months now. it has helped tremendously! i usually don't recommend something unless i have tried it and it has worked for me. his list of supplements/vitamins is long but i bought almost everything from puritans pride for 1/2 the cost of the health stores. the fatigue, pain, depression and insomnia have reduced by 80%. i still have alot of joint pain from arthritis but it is much better. 2 months ago, i was facing knee surgery for a torn meniscus and just damage in general--it has healed to the point where i am no longer even considering surgery. he does also advocate prescription drugs when needed but after a couple of months on his protocol, most are not needed. it would take me forever to type out all the supplements, but the ones that have helped the most (some of these are not in this book) with energy are malic acid/magnesium, NADH (get the sublingual kind, because stomach acid will destroy nadh), DLPA (amino that increases the life of endorphins, helping pain, depression, fatigue), an amino complex, d-ribose, asian panax (korean) ginseng, b12, b-complex, multi-vit, acetyl-l-carnitine, l-tyrosine, aspartates and creatine, for insomnia or anxiety, gaba, 5htp, st. john's wort, melatonin, l-theanine, passion flower, dhea and valerian. for pain, serrapeptase, samE, glucosamine chondroitin with msm, bosewellia, omega 3 oil, devils claw, cats claw, ginger, bromelain, cayenne, turmeric, holy basil, ashwagandha, yucca, hyaluronic acid, and for fibro fog, ginko, bacopa, vinpocetine, gotu kola. immune boosters are also important (and anti-oxidants) some good ones are, zinc, selenium, proboost, olive leaf, echinacea, grape seed extract, red clover, garlic, pau d'arco, oregano oil, inositol, evening primrose oil, astragalus, golden seal, licorice, elderberry, spirulina, pycnogenol, bee polle, beta-carotene, and vit c. d-mannose and cranberries for urinary tract health. calcium w/vit d should be taken at bedtime also. coq10 is another important one for energy and heart health, take with vit e or some kind of oil. iodine/kelp is important for thyroid function. tiger balm arthritic rub is also good for sore muscles, along with capsaicin cream. hope this helps!
