Does Cipro Effect Your Fibro? - Fibromyalgia Message Board

I had to take Cipro for a bladder infection. It triggered such a terrible bout of muscle pains that lasted for a week after I stopped taking the drug. I have read that Cipro can cause this as a side effect, but I am wondering if people with Fibro are more prone to get Fibro flare ups from this antibiotic.

To be honest, I've never heard of this reaction before. I've taken Cipro, and not had this reaction, but that does not mean this could not happen to other FMS patients. FMS can cause chemical sensitivities, however, so it makes me wonder. Wow! I feel for you.
