| Re: Thise with fibro who have ibs too
It is difficult to delicately describe the symptoms experienced with sensations in the stomach. The term I've learned to live by is "explosions".
I've found that it has nothing to do with my diet. If I eat something disagreeable, I may have no symptoms. If I eat something light and smooth, I might have Explosion City. I can't leave the house until I "explode" because of the extreme discomfort.
To be more specific with your question, again, its hard to describe, but for me, it literally feels like my stomach is eating itself from the inside out. It feels like my stomach wall lining is evaporating and disintegrating due to the acid.
When I was a college student I would always have at least two rolls of Tums/Rolaids on hand, but I found neither to be helpful. I wish I had some sort of positive treatment I could pass along to you, but irritable bowel syndrome is one that has always escaped me, and one I have never mastered.
Best wishes for that tummy of yours, and I wish I could shoo away that darned costo of yours! IBS + costo = no fun. Take it easy and be good to yourself.
