Nausea, dizziness, cold hands - Fibromyalgia Message Board

I have problems with my hands too in the winter months. My Fybromalgia since 2003 is so bad it feels like a train comes and hits me every stinkin day. I went to this free clinic because I lost my insurance too and they just put me on Free Cymbalta Wednesday. I'm not sure if I'm taking it right, do I take it in the morning or evening? I've been feeling nausea and dizzy is this normal too?

did the nausea and dizziness start after you started the cymbalta? my daughter takes it at night. since the clinic is free my suggestion would be to return and ask more questions. side affects, symptoms of an allergic reaction. when to take it.

I misplaced my paperwork about when to take it...this morning I found it ...and it did say take in the mornings. I was up all night last night until I finally took two Norco's to knock me out. I was so wired up because I took it at night. I just hope the dizzy and nauses goes away. I was suppose to be given the lyrica but they said they ran out and will try to give it to me next month when I go again. Does the cold weather kill you? I have such a hard time in the winter. Rose

hi rose,
the weather does bother me. mostly due to all the clothing i have to wear. without them i am a tiny little puddle of pain. not a pretty sight.
i asked my daughter and she said she also takes this med in the morning. she takes several and i get lost on some of it. she said it wired her up too.
may i suggest you call or go to the clinic and tell them about the dizzy nausea stuff. this may not be the right med for your body. if it were me, i would stop taking it and call or go in. i figure if a med makes me feel worse it is not the right one. know what i mean?

I agree with Blue with the dizzy, nausea thing. She's got very good advice.

There's something with the cold hands called Raynaud's syndrome and it's bad in the winter months. If my hands get cold, it's hard to get them warm. I use a moist heating pad, a long one and wrap it up and use it like a muff. It helps. The fingertips get cold and feel like frostbite, yep I've had a touch of that, so I know what it feels like.
