A whine about fatigue (sorry) - Fibromyalgia Message Board

Hello, everyone.

I just need to whine a bit. I'm in a flare, and the fatigue is getting to me. I force myself to keep going as much as I can, but I feel about 100 years old, no energy for anything. And there's so much I want to do, it's frustrating me and depressing me no end. And I ache, ache...

That's all, thanks for listening, and any advice is welcome. I know that what I'm saying is, hmmmm, no news to anyone here. (She attempts to giggle a la Blue and Glojer.

That fatigue is really a killer. Feels like your trying to keep your legs walking but the battery conked. Be kind to yourself and get rested, because the holidays will plow you under if you are not careful. Quite frankly, being fatigued at this level is horrible and I find it to be worse than the pain of FMS.

i know how you feel, it is like you are missing out on doing some things, then you feel guilty that you are not doing others. but you know i think that the only thing that fixes the dreadful fatique is rest, rest and more rest.

Thank you both for answering. Yes, Kirstee, this is much, much worse than the pain. The pain I can sometimes push through, the fatigue, no. And my mind just does not work.
I just woke up from another "just lie down for a few minutes", 7-hour nap, so seeing your responses was so comforting.

Ditto on the fatigue. I'd rather have pain any day. Do you take sub=lingual B-12 ? It has helped me a lot. Don't let the holidays get you down......I gave up the IDEA of them a long time ago, as this is always, always a rough time of year for me. So much of the hoopla is just that.........HOOPLA, and it won't be missed. We are different and have to do things differently NO DOUBT. TAKE CARE OF YOU FIRST.......love the one's you're with....and let the rest fall by the wayside. It's just POMP and CIRCUMSTANCE. Not the REAL STUFF of life. This is how I priortize it.

FEEL BETTER and just go with the fatigue and REST......if you fight it and PUSH on, you'll just get worse.
