Re: Muscle Biopsy???
EXTREME MUSCLE PAIN AND WEAKNESS.
I'm not talking about pain that you can push on with. I'm talking about pain and weakness that is off charts and you get to where you literally cannot lift a cup, are bedridden and have NO MUSCLE STRENGTH. The pain is not describable.
I learned I also have MITOCHRONDRIA MYOPATHY ( a form of muscular dystrophy) I had abnormal mitochrondria with ragged red fibers, a dead ringer for Mito.
SOOOOO, both Neuro's have diagnosed me with Mito Myopathy AND Fibro...........I am almost toatlly diabled in a way fibro alone has never disabled me.
I think I'm going to have another biopsy done next week. Will report if I do.
All they have to offer is a vitamin cocktail............there is no cure. If you have had periods of weakness, and muscle and body collaspe over the course of your life with unexplained pain and weakness with exercise intolerance, you may want to check into it.
I never had STAMANIA. I could never pull myself up on the side of a pool. I could never HANG to do things other kids/teens could. I was never able to hold a job long without an emotional and physical breakdown of sorts....EXHAUSTION. Stamania thing again. I always KNEW in my KNOWER that I was different and that I could not do physically what others could do at all ages of my life. I had learning problems/ADD in high schoool. I was emotional and cried a lot over the good and bad stuff. I was nervous...have always had kidney and bowel problems and other GI Problems. I had periods where I seemed normal and could disco dance for a year or so, only to collaspe for years afterward. Migraines, stroke like episodes, and had horrible leg (growing pains) and such exhaustion in the mornings, my mother had to physically wake me with wet wash clothes on my face until I could get awake. RUNNING felt weird........I could do it, but not fast, and I always felt weird when doing anything with my legs like that. I am 60 now and can barely type.........
If you can look back and see SIGNS, no matter how subtle, that you just weren't up to par and had extreme exercise intolerance, you'll be interested to study this illness.
