Saw the rheumalogist today

I saw the rheumalogist today. Actually the appointment was canceled till march but i was on the wait list and they got a cancellation. He examined my joints to see how well I could move them. Looked at my eyes, mouth, etc, He said he does not think I have Lupus {such a relief} but he says he thinks It's the Fibro that I have Fibro. I had a blood test they took 6 viles wow. So I see him in 6 weeks to talk about the results. But I'm not worried about Lupus I just think I have Fibro as well.

I'm soo tired and sore! But I'm glad I got the appointment out of the way!

Re: Saw the rheumalogist today

Thanks. I think I was sore because I was so stressed at the Doctors then I had some errands to run. When I do any exercise I hurt more. I'm so sorry you were hurting. Your skin hurt? that sounds painful my skin has never hurt. Sometimes If I touch my arm or leg it's sore to the touch though. Feel better soon.

Re: Saw the rheumalogist today

snowbunny, glad your appt. went well. I know it will take a long time for the lab results but don't be surprised if some of your results are positive. Like an ANA count or some other odd auto immune tests. It doesn't mean you have lupus or other serious autoimmune diseases. It also doesn't mean you won't still hurt....sorry to say. If your rheumy is good he will treat your symptoms and help with your pain and just keep a check on things. I test with high titers to lots of autoimmune problems, but luckily I don't have any of them. I did however spend a lot of time worrying and trying to get answers that just weren't there. My rheumy treats my joint pain, which he diagnosed as UCTD and my Antiphospholipid syndrome which I do test positive for.

I am happy for you for the no lupus diagnosis. I just wanted to give you a heads up on what may be a very confusing time for you when all the tests come back. By the way if you ANA comes back positive or high or elevated which ever way the lab does the test, have your thyroid checked if you haven't already. One theory I have heard is a high ANA can be from hypothyroid. Good Luck, I hope you are feeling better.

Glojer

Re: Saw the rheumalogist today

Hi SnowBunny and thank goodness you don't have Lupus. You don't need to be adding on another illness with all that's going on with you.

Be Well and don't be overdoing yourself, okay?

(((Gentle Hugs for You)))

Belle~
