How do you relieve a bad day of FMS?

How do you get through your worst "most painful" and "most draining" days with Fibromyalgia?

Maybe if I had my problems treated, like a spasm relief pill for my urinary tract & a muscle relaxant for the rest of my pain, I wouldn't have days like this but I would really like to find some alternatives other than taking pills.

I think things get worse when the pain gets so out of control, that I cannot rest well trying to sleep, like last night..

I almost feel like I have the flu today. It's UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Makes me want to screem!

Never mind, I used Vicks vapor rub all over my muscles and it helped a little & someone is bringing me some Epson salt later to try in my bath water. Maybe that'll help me feel better.

if you are having urinery track pain you may have an infection. and need to get that checked out.

I do take a muscle relaxer--soma and Klonopin. But other than that when I am really bad it is in the bed--which seems is all the time.

It's not an infection. I get mild spasms in my bladder & really bad spasms in my kidneys sometimes & in my hips, I guess my ureters. When I'm out walking, it feels like I have an IV stuck inside my left hip, if you know how sore that IV makes you when it's stuck in your hand for a long period of time, that's the pain I feel in my side. I think when my bladder doesn't empty properly, it brings these problems on.

Flexeril/Darvocet together kills my FMS pain. But I'd need to call my dr for a refill for the Flexeril & since it makes me so sleepy, I'd rather not. It would've been nice though to have one today.

You do know that laying around in bed too much will make that muscular pain that much worse. Might try cozing up on the couch and watching a good movie on days you feel that horrible. Or see if your doctor would put you on a pain medication to take with the Soma. The klonopin treats anxiety & panic attacks, not pain. These two medications together have the potential to cause a drug interaction. Central nervous system and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be increased. So be careful with it.
