Odd muscle twitching? - Fibromyalgia Message Board

What is it when your muscle pulls up & down involuntary, is it a twitch?

First time it occurred was in my back near where the pain is I always have there. No big deal. But last night it happened again in my butt cheek & I went numb there.

And I know it's normal if your laying on a muscle & it goes numb, but within 5 minutes of laying on my left or right side (in bed), my side would go numb, I'd flip over to the other side then it would just go numb. I've never had that occur so frequently. Annoying!

I dealt with the muscle twitching too..VERY ANNOYING!!!

It will be either my legs, arms or face (in the eye arear).

Sometimes it will jump from leg to arm back to the other leg....UGH!!

My doctor told me to drink Tonic Water for the twitcing. I tried..DONT LIKE TONIC WATER MUCH...YUCK......well as I said in anoter post

..maybe if I add some GIN it would be tolerable LOL

I recently read somewhare that Pinapple Juice can help. Havent tried that yet.

So it is some type of twitching when your muscles are jumping up & down?

What a weird thing to happen esp in the butt. LOL.

I'll try some pinapple juice, my sister swares it helps fatigue anyways. I need all the help I can get.

yeah..i know hate that twitching...I wounder if eating fresh pinapple gives the same results. I like fresh pinapple, but don;t like pinapple juice..go figure

lol. it really doesn't hurt or anything. not even that annoying. it doesn't last really long but it makes me question WHAT THE ____ ____ ____ is wrong..

I would think fresh pinnapple would work just as well as the juice. I don't see why it wouldn't. She buys the little cans of the juice and claims it really gives her a boost when needed. However I am on a constant 24-7 need there and I don't know if it would help my fatigue, but I'm going to try it anyways. For both of these problems I guess.
