Tips for dealing with fibro on vacation

Does anyone have any tips for how to keep pain at bay while on vacation? I know I will have to deal with some, due to the extra stress that comes with just getting ready for vacation. I know we will be doing a lot of walking, as we are visiting Hershey, PA, and there is a LOT of parks. We dont have a lot of time, so we made a plan for somewhere we could go in that time span without having to fly, because it was just more of a hassle to fly with an almost 4 year old than drive.

I guess I'm just wondering if there are any tidbits to help lessen some of the strain my body is going to go through. Last year's vacation didn't have as much walking.

Any advice or helpful hints will be appreciated!!

drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks to sit for a few minutes. be sure to get your normal sleep. stay happy and excited. plan on crashing when you get home. knowing you will be able to fall out later helps keep the energy flowing.
have fun.
peace,

Choose your footwear carefully.

Eat foods that will keep you functioning well.

If you have a special pillow or mattress pad, you might want to bring it with you.

Yes, footwear is important. I went for a walk in flip flops just down the street, and my feet were killing me. I can't wear them anymore.

Re: Tips for dealing with fibro on vacation

May i suggest to lightly pace yourself, enjoy yourself and think positive of this vacation.
Your shoes are definately a important factor since you will be doing alot of walking. Take breaks as you may need to.
Only you know how you feel , when Fibro pain sets in, take a break or perhaps a nap if you can.

Hope your vacation goes well, Enjoy
