Two years ago I had a cervical laminectomy, which I honestly believe triggered my fibro. Well now I need to have a disc replacement at the same disc. I'm worried sick that this could make my fibro worse.
Just in need of some support and prayers. Thanks.
Same here lots of love and supoort and prayers!!!!!!!

How are you feeling? What did the doctor say? How long for the recoop? How is the Fibro acting with this?

The fibro is doing fine so far. I was achy all over yesterday and thought "Oh No". But I guess that is to be expected after major surgery. I'm feeling a little sore in my neck and chest area from the tubes and anesthesia, and muscles being moved around, but nothing I can't handle. The doctor didn't say much about the recoup time, just to use my common sense, and not to over do it. I'm thinking about 3weeks, but I'll play it by ear. Luckily I work for myself so I don't need to worry about rushing back to work. I already started driving my kids down to the bus stop, just 2 streets away. I wont drive any further for about another week.
I had to have C2, C3, C4 replaced 10 years ago as well. The FM came afterwards, though I always associated it with the wreck that caused the discs to have to be replaced. I've been told I have bone spurs all in that area now. Elle, that had to be awful to be told the surgery had to be repeated. Sure hope your recovery is quick.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to yah. Been feeling real fibrocruddy lately
How are you doing now? Don't push it!! You don't want to go into a flare if you haven't already wich I deffinately DO NOT WISH ON YOU!
Got my Mri back, still have compression at c4-c5 BUT it hasn't gotten worse..THANK GOD!! Just started some PT W/ Trigger Point Injections. The doc said my Upper Trapazoid Muscles or something like that are extremely tight. Whatever it is, yes it is tight!!!
Take it easy, take time for yourself, get some rest, take a nice bubble bath and think of YOURSELF!!
Keep us updated on your recoop!!

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes. Starting to feel a lot better. Chest doesn't hurt anymore. Still have a little soreness in my neck and throat, but not too bad. The fibro is trying to rear it's ugly head but I keep taking my meds and resting when needed. That bubble bath sounds great. I think I'll go do that. Good Night!
