my dear fibro friends... please read

I know this is not the board to write about this topic but this is where I post and where I consider my friends. I have had many problems over the last 18 months. ..Pain, severe fatigue, aching and was diagnosed with fibro. Last night I found a large lump in my left breast. I have been particularly tired the last few weeks. Thoughts??

Re: my dear fibro friends..please read

sophie, never assume anything. Go to your doc immediately and get it all checked out. Do you have regular mammograms? I do and one came out suspicious, it turned out to be nothing to worry about, but what never shows up on my mammos is the permanent lump in the other breast that I have had since I was 20yrs. old. I know someone who has suspicious results and went to the large university hospital for a specialist and everything was fine. I know women with lumps that are always benign and have had several. NEVER assume and get yourself worked up. Go head long at it with a purpose and find out what it is. I will be thinking about you and offer prayers for you. Getting upset will only cause a fibro flare and that is the last thing you need at this time. I know you said you were really tired, that is the story of my life....giggle.....so as my old auntie use to say, "don't borrow trouble." Hang in there and let us know how you are doing.

Re: my dear fibro friends..please read

Sophie,
I totally agree. You need to get in to see your GYN as soon as you can so they can do a mammogram, ultrasound or MRI. Meanwhile, try not to mash on it too much because that will make it very sore. It is probably nothing to worry about but you need to follow through immediately. Good luck and keep us posted!

Sophie definately see your doctor for examination and any testings needed.

We all need to look after ourselves and seek a doctor opinion when we need one. This is the time for you to go and get answers. Thinking of you and keep us posted.

Wish you well
Hugs

Re: my dear fibro friends..please read

Please get it checked out. However, it can be fibrocystic, which is common in us Fibromites. I have had fibro cycstic breasts since I was very young. Best to you and let us know what you find out.

Hugs,
Pam

Re: my dear fibro friends... please read

Thank you my sweet friends. I know that most lumps are benign. What bothers me is the lump is right under the nipple. I have usually heard the benign ones are around the breast..not right in the middle. I am really trying not to buy trouble and I do have a "come and wait appt. Wed. afternoon" I 'll let you guys
know as soon as I do.
Thank-you all f or letting me lean on you.

I am full of those in my breasts too. Found them when I was in my twenty's too. 56 now and they are there but don't bother me as much. I would have it checked out for sure. Think positive thoughts and try not worry yourself into a flare. I will keep you in my prayers as I do all my Fibro Friends.
Have low pain days all,

Re: my dear fibro friends... please read

I went to the doctor today. The doc thinks it is a cyst but not sure. He is sending
me for a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound. He said if it is a cyst they will drain it. He said if there is blood in the fluid they will send it off to see if it is ok. I don't know what they will do if it turns out not to be a cyst. I am still very worried but I feel better than I did. I am not getting the the tests until Monday so I guess I am in for a long weekend
Thank-you all for the comforting words and thoughts. Please stay with me. I will post again as soon as I know something.
