Hi
I have been dx with fibro a while ago. What I have read and been told it seems that I have had these symptoms since I was very young. Is this possible? I remember when I was a teenager if I got overtired I would ache like I had a massive flu. Even my hair hurt. I would take a couple of Asperin and go lay down and when the pills took effect I felt better. I have always had sore spots on my body. What I would like to know does this disease effect your breathing and your legs also. It seems my legs as I get older have gotten so much weaker.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Its very possible you've had it your entire life. Many with fibromyalgia can trace it back to when they were very young - many of the stories I hear sound so much alike. My entire family has it - my Mom, my sister and my neice. I started in my early 20's. And yes, I think fibro affects every single part of you...I have horrible leg pain at times; like a deep aching and weakness. Its awful I know, but keep positive!! Rest when your body tells you to and you'll feel better for it. MaryAnn

Hi, I to get extreme weakness in my legs. Sometimes I can hardly get up off the sofa they are so weak. Kay

Having weak legs has made me use a cane a little more...

I hate Fibro

I can trace mine back to when I was very young also. As I got older, my legs began to ache and are sometimes weak. If I exercise them regularly...they are better. My legs sometimes feel like they weigh a ton...I call them elephant legs when they are like that. Going up stairs can be difficult when they are like that.
