Capsaicin depletes Substance P -- do you use it? Know of anything else?

So I know capsaicin depletes substance P and is a really good idea for muscles that are close to the surface. Anything else do that? What are your experiences with trying to get rid of some of the extra substance p?

Re: Capsaicin depletes Substance P -- do you use it? Know of anything else?

I've tried using an anti-inflammatory cream with capsacin in it and it did nothing for my muscles at all. I had to use surgical gloves while applying it to sore areas and it made my skin burn. Perhaps I had a sensitivity to it; still it could help others. I'd be interested to know.

Edited to say, what on earth is substance P?
