Weird visual disturbances

Today I went to the aerobics class and suddenly I felt like I couldn't see. Like I couldn't see in stereo, like there was something wrong with my right eye. Even the clock didn't make any sense, I couldn't read what the time was. The lighting in the room looked brighter than ever.

Could this somehow be related to Fibromyalgia?

Re: Weird visual disturbances

I don't know...I have had some eye sight issues too. I get like these bright floters sometimes. I was checked out to make sure It wasn't a real concern like Glucoma sine it runs in my family.

They think mine is due to Migraines....

I would deffinately see a eye doctor to make sure nothing funny is happening..

let me know what up with that and good luck!!

Anything could be related to Fibromyalgia - there are so many symptoms. That being said, always check with your doctor - especially YOUR EYES!!! We cannot just chalk symptoms up to fibro all the time - you may miss something else going on by doing that - go see an eye doctor!!! MaryAnn

Re: Weird visual disturbances

One of my first symptoms was vision related. I was in the car with my daughter. She was driving. It's a good thing she was. I suddenly got a stabbing sensation in my right eye and temporarily lost some of my periphreal vision. I will see dark spots when I am in the sun and in high lighted areas. The pain can be horrible as well. I saw a specialist and he said I have floaters. The spots never just float around. They are always in the same spots. They interfear with my vision frequently. I try to avoid daytime driving. Even though my night vision isn't the best either. In the past 6 months, my left eye is now being affected as well.
