I've been diagnosed with Fibro a few weeks ago. I also have a lot of back problems. Lately I've been trying to do more walking so I can lose some weight. The problem is that when I walk, both of my legs feel so heavy and hurt. And my feet hurt too. My legs burn like they are on fire. They hurt after I sit down too. Is this another weird thing with Fibro? Any suggestions? I like to walk but it's so hard.
Another thing I get when walking is that my shoulders feel like I'm carrying bricks on them when I walk and I get so tired out so easy.
Yes, to all of it. Maybe not to the same degree as you, we all have different degrees of pain in areas of the body. I love walking and do my treadmill and walk as much as possible. I do better walking than standing still, I have more pain standing, and that is when my shoulders feel the worse. And yes, I have very painful feet. I think it is all a part of fibro. The way to help it though, is to start slow and build up slowly. Take those baby steps and if you start to hurt too much back off a bit. Exercise is very good for fibro, you just need to keep at it and never give up.
