FM and supplements

What supplements are you guys currently taking for treating FMS? About a week ago I started taking Q10 and I think it may actually have some kind of an effect on me.. At least I think I feel more energetic? I also try to take all the essential vitamins, almost every day. I'm not too sure about fish oil, being allergic to fish. Then again, I'm allergic to basically everything. I read something about 5-Htp, its supposed to help with depression and fatigue? Maybe I should try that too? I'm oversensitive to antidepressants anyway.

Re: FM and supplements

It's always a good thing to have a professional help you decide what's best for your body. You don't want to take something you may not need or may not mix with medications if you are taking any. What works for some of us may not work for others. It takes some patience and trial and error to find just the right combination of supplements, herbs etc. Many alternative methods like accupucture, message, yoga, medication, lidocane shots to name a few have helped many of us, but they can be spendy. I am currently using liquid magneseum that I spray on of use as a footbath. I don't know if it's helping but today I weed whacked around my house for over 3 hours. I haven't done that since I got fibro 3 years ago. We'll see how I feel tomorrow when I have to teach my sweet first graders all day. I have terrible burning pain almost 24/7. Good luck to you!
