I was put on it for the first time like last week--so far, it's not been the miracle drug that Lyrica was. They put me on it for severe rib and stomach pain. So far it hasn't helped; it has helped the old pains in my shoulder/neck a tad bit, but not enough to stay on. How long have you been on it? What dosage?
I recieved almost immediate results.It doesnt help with the normal fibro pain but if you are having nerve pain the relief takes place within a few hours.

So sorry to here meds not working for you. I only found out I had Fibro three weeks ago, was put on neurotin, the pain was so much worse for four days before neurotin kicked in, I'm still in pain and if I'm late taking it the pain starts to get really bad. I think I need to have the dose increased.
Off to see GP in the morning, have to see what she thinks. I'm on 100mg three times a day.
I do hope you find something that workes for you soon.

I started comeing to these boards a few years ago,I was sure i had MS, Dr said no, I had vertigo, tingling, numb toes, itching sensetions, loss of voice etc.
well now I know I have Fibro, things seem to make sence, only found out 6/8 weeks ago, have prob with eyes, and pain plus all the above, well Dr has put my dose of neurotin up to 900 a day but it's not enough by a long way! I had blood test's other day,not sure what they are looking for.
I had an immediate response, but only helped for stabbing / shooting pain (@ 2400 mg (800 mg x3 daily)) but not any burning. Lyrica helped with burning pain & brain fog.

I wonder is it possible to take lyrica and neurotin together? Lyrica has helped with the over all pain bur I still have the sharp pain in the ribs and the numbness in the hands and feet.
